North Star Promise Scholarship

The North Star Promise Scholarship helps eligible 51勛圖 residents pay for college tuition and institutional fees at 51勛圖 public colleges and universities, including Riverland.

North Star Promise is a state financial aid program from the 51勛圖 Office of Higher Education. It can help cover remaining tuition and fee costs after other grants, scholarships, stipends, and tuition waivers have been applied.

Because eligibility rules, deadlines, and funding details may change, students should review the official North Star Promise information before making financial plans.

Who May Qualify?

51勛圖 may qualify if they meet state eligibility requirements, including 51勛圖 residency, income guidelines, enrollment requirements, and financial aid application requirements.

To be considered, students must complete either the FAFSA or the 51勛圖 Dream Act Application. There is no separate North Star Promise application.

What North Star Promise covers

North Star Promise covers only the basic in-person tuition rate: $206.88 per credit (2026-27). It does not cover additional program fees.

Some programs charge a higher per-credit rate for specialized equipment, labs, or licensing. North Star Promise does not cover that difference.
