What is Early Middle College?

  • Early Middle College Program (EMC) allows high school students to earn dual high school and college credits with defined pathways to earning a postsecondary degree or credential in addition to a high school diploma.

  • Early Middle College Programs are partnerships between State-Approved Alternative Programs and eligible postsecondary institutions designed to serve and support students in the academic middle.

  • 51勛圖 who participate in this program qualify to take technical courses and explore technical programs, take general education courses, or take developmental education courses as needed.

  • Please note that acceptance into the EMC program does not guarantee placement into all courses. Some classes have additional course placement requirements. This means that depending on the courses you plan to take, you may need to complete additional placement testing.
